rawr. i'm tired of packing. boxes are my enemy, no mater how handy they come in. thought i'd post another poem just for the heck of it.


i saw you through the faded light
the wilted light
you had finally come to me
on this cold winter night

and i tossed back my head and laughed
because i had known all along
you were not my enemy
more than a friend to keep me strong

to keep me from myself
you helped me fight
the enemy inside myself

and i was torn
torn for so long
but you're here now
to keep me from myself

and then we were gone
through the images of my future
and we were soaring
through every single culture
and our bodies were one
and we weren't even touching
we weren't even touching

can i keep myself from hurting me
so i can stay with you forever
myself it hates the way i long for you
but when will this fight be over

can i keep myself from blaming you
for everything that i've done
its so wrong to see you hurt
i throw my hands up for all the wrong

i committed against myself the worst sin
hating you how could i ever hate you
the only thing that has loved me all along
and now i know what i have to do

give up the enemy inside myself
just give it up to you
kill it inside myself
make myself new
tear the evil side of me
that i never even knew
give it all away, all away to you

this fight it ends in victory
i've given it up inside of me
now its time for you to rule
for me to step down from myself
and live the life i was supposed to have
all along, you were there all along

i never even knew it you were there all along.
